Bakersfield, CA (Men’s Basketball) -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team claimed their fourth outright Western State Conference South Division championship in five years on Saturday night at Bakersfield College. The Owls defeated the host Renegades 94-81, giving the Owls the conference crown with two games to go.
Citrus led Bakersfield 47-42 at the break. The Owls would pull ahead late to pick up the thirteen point victory. The win gives Citrus College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Victor his first WSC South title at the helm of the Owls.
The win, moves Citrus’ record to 23-1 on the year and 10-0 in WSC South play. The Owls will play their final regular season home game on Wednesday when they play host to West Los Angeles College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM in the Owls’ Nest.
